Debbie Antonelli's Usba welcome Letter
Welcome to the USBA Girls National Tournament, July 10-15, 2017 in Charleston, SC. Charleston and Mount Pleasant, SC has been my home for 17 years. I’m proud to partner with USBA, an organization that provides girls an opportunity to play basketball in my town! Our USBA National Championship offers first class basketball competition and high level hoops in the world renowned Lowcountry! We want you to compete in our event, then enjoy the hospitality of our treasured Lowcountry!
The Lowcountry is a unique place. Travel and Leisure Magazine voted Charleston the #1 City in the world for travel and entertainment. Woven inside our fabric is a community commitment to great hoops. Within our competitive basketball tournament, you can find time to enjoy our remarkable downtown and discover why our community is the friendliest place in America.
In addition to your game schedule, I will conduct a skill development 2-day camp July 10-11. This basketball workshop will be conducted similar to a college basketball practice environment. I will teach fundamentals and concepts to help you excel in your game. I will also offer an “offensive concepts” practice menu for teams (at no additional charge) to be scheduled during team competition July 12-15.
USBA is excited to bring the national championship back to the Lowcountry. We encourage you to register for our event. It will be a fun week of hoops and beach time in our beautiful city!
